Crime statistics

Participating in comparing the crime levels in European countries is one of HEUNI’s core tasks and for example, the results of the United Nation’s Crime Trends Surveys (UN-CTS) have been published in our Report Series. Furthermore, HEUNI has participated in the work of the European Sourcebook- group which has collected data on crime and criminal justice statistcs from 1992 onwards. The representatives of HEUNI are also involved in different expert groups of Eurostat to develop comparable crime statistics across Europe.
