Development of monitoring instruments for judicial and law enforcement institutions in the Western Balkans (UNODC-CARDS) (2010-2011)

Background information

The CARDS project aims at strengthening the response to crime and corruption in countries of the Western Balkans by bringing national statistics mechanisms in justice and home affairs institutions towards compliance with relevant international and EU acquis, standards and best practices. The project consists of three parts: research on existing country capacity to collect justice statistics; development of guidelines for improving data collection, and; training on the guidelines.
