FIDUCIA: New European Crimes and Trust-based crime policy (2012-2015)

Background information

FIDUCIA was a research project that shed light on a number of distinctively "new European" criminal behaviours that have emerged in the last decade as a consequence of technology developments and the increased mobility of populations across Europe. The aim of the Project was to produce an innovative model of "trust-based" policy and related policy recommendations to be addressed to Member States and EU institutions. The project build upon the experiences of the EURO-JUSTIS project (see also www.eurojustis.eu ).

The coordinator of the project was the University of Parma in Italy and altogether 13 partners from 11 European countries were involved in the project. Funding was provided by the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme, Social Sciences and Humanities.
